Big Bonanza of Boys' Basketball

Coach Rooks reported for the Boys Varsity Basketball team's season.

The Wyoming Cowboys boys’ basketball team has had a very successful season thus far.  After round 1 of CHL play the Cowboys stand 10-2 overall and a conference record of 6-1, which has them in first place in the league standings.   The team has had some great non-conference wins over Monroe, Sycamore and Hamilton Badin.  The only loss in league play was to Indian Hill, which was a tough one for the Cowboys.  Wyoming lead most of the game and was up 6 with a minute and half to play.  Indian Hill’s two three pointers sent the game to overtime and the Cowboy’s ended up losing by 3.  The very next day Wyoming lost to Lockland by 4 and after that loss the Cowboys went on a 7 game winning streak.  Over the streak Wyoming beat numerous league rivals and managed to win some close games.   With four weeks left in the season Wyoming hopes to finish the season how it started but understand that it will be more difficult the second time around.
We also got some tremendous pictures from the team's 69-41 flogging of Finneytown on Friday, January 24th.
Thanks to Coach Rooks for the report, and
Thanks to Rod Apfelbeck who bent over backwards to get us these great pictures.
No, that's not Rod.  His bending is more figurative in nature.
