Wendy Feller reported from the JV Girls' Basketball team's wild win over Reading 16-13 on Wednesday, January 8th.
We were down nearly the entire game, but the girls never gave up. They rallied back in the final minutes of the 4th quarter to finally go ahead of Reading. Olivia Cunningham put in some key free throws to keep the team motivated and she tied up the game. Emily Dudek put the team ahead with a steal and break-away layup. Then Lisa Furlong put the icing on the cake when she went to the line for a final free throw. This was a very exciting ending leading into an even more exciting Varsity game. Wyoming fans were treated to two great finishes last night!
How awesome is that? My hat's off the the Wyoming administrators. How they consolidate all of the extra-curriculars together is amazing. Who would have thought that the Drama program could be incorporated so seamlessly and successfully into the Girls' Basketball program.
