Success In The Sectionals-UPDATED

Girls' Varsity Tennis Sectionals were this weekend.  We had several Cowboys advance to the District Tournament next week.

 Singles First round

Lippert (Wyoming) d. Perry (Roger Bacon) 6-0, 6-1

Koesterman (Wyoming) d. Threatts (Roger Bacon) 6-0, 6-0

Gault (Summit) d. Wilson (Wyoming) 6-4, 6-2

Second round

Weston d. Lippert 6-0, 6-0

Koesterman (Wyoming) d. Rhymer-Stuart 6-0, 6-0

Quarterfinals

Koesterman (Wyoming)  d. Bissantz (Summit) 6-3, 6-2

Singles Semifinals

Weston (Mariemont) d. Koesterman (Wyoming)

Doubles First round

Thoresen-Boster (Wyoming) d. Milburn-Crawford (Monroe) 6-0, 6-0

Second round

Thoresen-Boster (Wyoming) d. Gonya-Davis 6-1, 6-0.

Quarterfinals

Thoresen-Boster d. Irby-Whittelsey 6-0, 6-1.

Doubles Semifinals

Thoresen-Boster (Wyoming) d. Skidmore-Singer (Indian Hill) 6-4, 7-5.

Finals

Thoresen-Boster d. Breda-Anderson 6-4, 4-6, 6-1.

Ellen Koesterman advances to next week's district tournament in singles as a #4 seed and the doubles team of Hailey Thoresen and Maddie Boster advance as the #1 seed.
