Varsity Vanquishes Not-So-Wildcats

With the way the Boys' Varsity Soccer team is playing, Jen Hays can't help but report good news.

 

The Wyoming Men’s Varsity soccer team played at Finneytown last night coming away with a huge win.  Toby Varland started the ball rolling with a nice clean shot that slipped right through the goalies hands.  Game play stayed pretty even until Finneytown was called for a penalty in the box, giving Ryan Derge the opportunity to score goal number two on a penalty kick.  Jay Klein had a beautiful run, with the shot deflected by the goalie, but picked up by Andrew Derge scoring goal number three.  Andy Rengli had an amazing header which he flicked right to Andrew Derge giving him score number four.  Final score was Wyoming 4 – Finneytown 0.  Congratulations also to goalie Marshall Hays on his first shut out of the season!

 

Way to Go Cowboys! 

Next game is Saturday, September 7th at Home against Talawanda.  JV plays at 1:00.  Varsity plays at 3:00. Come on out and cheer them on!
