Jen Hays was the bearer of the following un-glad tidings from the Boys' Varsity Soccer game Tuesday, August 20th.
The Wyoming Men’s Varsity soccer team played Princeton on Tuesday at Princeton. Unfortunately the Cowboys came up a bit short.
The guys held them off for the first half keeping the score tied 1-1, with Nolan Prevish tying it up for the Cowboys. But the second half then didn’t fair so well. The Princeton guys came out screaming with a score only a couple minutes after the start of the second half. They then scored again on a corner kick, bringing the score to 3-1. Princeton then got a little too zealous, and fouled Jay Klein in the box giving Toby Varland the opportunity to sink a penalty kick bringing the score to 3-2. Unfortunately Princeton returned the favor and scored one more goal before ending the game. The final score was Princeton 4 – Wyoming 2. The guys played hard and we know we’ll get a win next time.
On Thursday the Wyoming Men’s Soccer team plays Anderson High School for our Home Opener! JV plays at 5:00 pm and Varsity plays at 7:00 pm. Should be a great game. Come out and cheer on our guys!
Go Cowboys!!
Thanks to Jen Hays for the report, and
