Football wrap-up

I received a link to the stats and got the pictures done for the Walnut Hills game.  Just the Wyoming stats are posted so one can't make comparisons.

Senior Dennis Austin, Junior Connor Hughes and sophomore Brandford Darlington led the team in tackles with twelve each.  Senior Mikey Gonzalez was just one back with eleven.

Senior Adam Chalmers and sophomore Casey Howell had picks, with Adam returning his 22 yards and Casey 14.

Senior Brian Anderson recovered the opening onside kick.

Sophomore Griffin O'Gara was credited with the safety that resulted from Walnut Hills snapping the ball past their punter and into the end zone.

On the offensive side, sophomore QB Will Marty was 16-32 for 194 yards and three TD's.

Seniors Max Kadish and Phillip Schuholz and junior Ben Kurtz each had four receptions including a TD.  Ben led in yardage with 63.

Our biggest deficiency was in the running game, where even after you factor out sack yardage we gained just 40 yards on 15 carries.

Next up: at Turpin Friday night at 7:30.  (Turpin lost its opener 42-28 to Loveland.)
