Boys' Golf Update

The WHS Boys’ Golf Team finished 8th out of 20 teams in the Princeton Invitational, which was held earlier this week on Tuesday the 9th. The event, which was won by Mason HS with a score of 301, featured mostly Division I schools from all over Cincinnati, so the 8th place finish was actually a very respectable performance. The Cowboys’ team score for the day was 326, and the team was led by Senior Sam Meyers, who shot a 7 over par 79. Also posting for the Cowboys were senior Adam Crider (82), freshman John Hughes (82) and sophomore Chris Betagole (83).

Additionally, I’m happy to report that the Boys’ Varsity Golf team finished 2nd yesterday in the Cincinnati Hills League Preview Tournament, held @ Weatherwax Golf Course. Wyoming shot a team total of 326, finishing behind Indian Hill which posted a very strong team total of 316. Senior Adam Crider was co-medalist for the tournament (over 40 players in the field) with a 3 over par 75. Also, senior Sam Meyers shot 79, junior Max Wiethe posted an 84 and sophomore Henry Moore posted an 88. The Cowboys finished 4 shots in front of 3rd place Taylor HS, and 13 shots in front of 4th place Mariemont.
