Bowling update

I caught up with Chuck Pollington, Head Coach of the Bowling team.  The Enquirer's not great about posting bowling scores, so The Roundup has been pretty bad about that too.

Coach P said that the girls have two victories this year, not bad for a young, inexperienced team.  He mentioned senior Megan Warmoth and sophomores Ginger Engel and Amelia Irvine as standouts for the team.  He said that they had shown solid improvement throughout the year and expected even more over time.

The boys got off to an 0-5 start with a murderer's row of opponents.  Since then they've rolled their way to 12 straight victories, including 2 wins over Taylor and victories over Reading and Deer Park.  (They've unfortunately had some matches cancelled due to weather.)

Senior Josh Hite flirted with a perfect game Tuesday against Clark, bowling a 263 (that includes eight straight strikes).

Junior Matt Brown was high man Wednesday against Reading, rolling a two game total of 400.

Sectionals are next week at Colerain Bowl - girls on Friday, boys on Saturday.
