Girls' swim team 12th, Oberholzer 2nd at state

From the Enquirer:
Wyoming, which finished 12th, was the next-highest finisher among locals.

Cowboys senior Celia Oberholzer, the two-time defending state champion in the 100 yard backstroke, finished second in that event to Marissa Cominelli of defending state champion Gates Mills Hawken.

Oberholzer's time was 56:33, but Cominelli swam it in a state-record 55:49.

"She came in more relaxed than in the past," said Wyoming head coach Dave Elliott of Oberholzer. "She had a great swim in the morning. That kind of set her up for a good performance tonight."

Oberholzer, who bested her state-winning time of 56:64 from last year, felt good about her race.

"I'm not disappointed at all," she said. "I expected (Cominelli) to swim fast. If she was going to beat me, I wanted to push her the whole way. I think I've matured a lot from junior to senior year because I'm not upset."
