Wyoming set records in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays to help the Cowboys pull away from Dayton Oakwood and earn the Cowboys' third consecutive district team championship.
The 200 freestyle relay team of seniors Owen Dunbar and A.J. Burt and juniors Pat Dierker and Sam Rominger put together a record time of 1:28.23, breaking the record of 1:28.42 set last year by the Cowboys team of Burt, Dierker, Eric Lethander and Michael Murphy. The 400 freestyle relay team of Dunbar, Dierker, Burt and Lethander finished in 3:12.12, breaking the record of 3:13.12 set last year by Burt, Dierker, Dunbar and Zach Fischer.Entire Enquirer article here.
Dunbar joined Quallen as the only local swimmers to win individual Division II district championships, knocking almost two seconds off of his qualifying time of 49.34 seconds to win the 100 freestyle in 47.38.
