Wyoming Tennis earns Coaches Classic Team Trophy!!

The tennis van left Wyoming in the dark at 7AM on Saturday morning in 50 degree weather. It warmed up slightly as the sun came up.

But that didn't stop Wyoming from dominating Flight C with an overall score of 250. Wyoming Blue was in 4 of the 5 finals! Ursuline B and Seton tied for second with 185.

Tess Thoresen won the championship for 2nd singles after defeating her opponent Grimes (Winton Woods) 6-1, 6-2.

Ashley Berg placed 2nd in 1st singles after losing to William (Winton Woods) 6-1, 6-0.

1st doubles players, Maddie Boster and Meredith Hennessy got 2nd place after a 6-1, 6-2 defeat by Blackburn and Blackburn (CCD).

Ellen Koesterman and Camille Wilson also received 2nd place after losing to Cook and Schwab (Seton) 7-5, 6-1.


Stella Fischer lost her match in the backdraw.

The weekend was filled with lots of camraderie, tennis, and of course, celebration!

Next up: Wednesday @ Lunken Courts vs. Summit Country Day at 4; and Thursday last home match vs. Cincinnati Country Day at 4.
