Bo knows...relief

Well, at least mental relief.  The physical should follow soon.

The sharp-eyed among you will have noticed that the football team was wearing "63" stickers on their helmets during the Reading game.  (That's Joe Panos' helmet - he's #33.)

This was in honor of Bo Graham, who has had a scary few weeks.  Attempting to understand Bo's frequent and severe headaches, doctors discovered a tumor.

The MRI findings at Childrens' show that the ''tectal glioma'' is a benign tumor in his brain stem. The Optic nerves are involved and he has increased pressure in his brain from the tumor making it difficult for cerebral spinal fluid to flow freely.

The Grahams are getting a second opinion tomorrow at University Hospital. If they decide to go with Children's Hospital, Bo will have surgery on September 30th to create a new place in the brain for the fluid to drain.

I know the Grahams appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

Now there is still one thing I couldn't figure out.  At least one player, Ike Palmer - #77, had two "63" stickers on his helmet.  One like everyone else, and one that was kind of an old school version.  Could that be a tip-of-the-hat to Bo's dad Jeff, good old 63 when he played for the UC Bearcats?  I guess only Ike knows for sure.

Best of luck Bo!
