Freshman Junior Olympian

Marley Manigault qualified for the AAU Junior Olympics National Championships in Track and Field - Norfolk, VA

Marley has worked hard this summer with her Bond Hills Flyers AAU team and coaches.  Head Coach of Flyers is Wyoming Grad, Greg Johnson. She qualified in all three of her events, shot put, discus, and javelin.

On Tuesday, August 4th Marley competed in her shot put event and placed 23rd in the country for 15-16 year-olds. This ranking made her 10th in the country for 15 year-olds, her own age group.

She also pulled to her own 'Personal Best' during competition, 9.9 meters/32' 9.50 inches. Marley's best distance for Wyoming and CHL is 32' 3.05". Marley as a freshman is less than 2" short of breaking the Wyoming shot put record set in the 70's.

Way to go Marley!
