Girls' lax takes two from Fenwick

From intrepid reporter Jeff King:

On Wednesday, April 25, the WHS Girls LAX JV and Varsity teams traveled to Bishop Fenwick HS and came home with two victories.

The JV team won 4-1. Due to late arrival because of traffic problems, the teams only played a 20-minute game. Goals were scored by Lexie Miller (2) and Maggie Hughes (2). Emily Wadds had 3 goalie saves.

The Varsity team won 9-5, even though the game was stopped 4 minutes into the second half due to lightning. Rain-soaked goals were scored by Adi Smith (4), Carly Levick (2), Mary Jane Fischer (1), Claire Crawford (1) and Maggie Hughes (1). Wyoming showed great teamwork by scoring 7 of the 9 goals off of assists from Claire Crawford (5!!), Olivia Cunningham (1) and Emily Wadds (1). Ali Vamosi had 2 goalie saves.
 

 
Next up: at home Friday vs. Mercy, JV at 5:30, Varsity at 6:45.
