The Wyoming Cross Country teams concluded their seasons this past weekend at the Regional Championships in Troy, Ohio. The Boys team finished 12th in the 16 team field. They were led by senior Patrick Ammerman, who finished 48th in 18:09.
"While we were a little dissapointed in how the meet went, the competition is fierce when you get to the Regional level. Nonetheless, I think we had a very successful season," said Coach Dan Flaute.
For the Girls, sophomore Emily Stites ran her best race of the season, finishing 18th in 20:41 and narrowly missing qualifying for the State meet (The top 16 qualify). Freshman Sammy Schwartz ran a solid race to finish 38th in 21:15.
"Emily ran great and narrowly missed qualifying. Sammy also ran a good race. With all of the top 5 girls returning next year, the future looks bright," said Coach Flaute.
