Boys' lacrosse sinks Sylvania

In a supreme act of defiance of the elements, the Sylvania boys' lacrosse team traveled over 3 hours to get to Wyoming on Saturday.  There was a game delay, then both the JV and Varsity played on a running clock to get the games in before the weather shut things down.

The varsity won 10-2.

Goalie Michael Sagan had six saves.

Austin Hughes and Sam Meyers led the scoring with three goals a piece.  Austin also had three assists.

Tyler Cornelius and James McAllister had two goals each, and Tyler also had two assists and seven Loose Balls Controlled (LBC).

Rich Irwin, David Zanoni and Nick Kamphaus each had an assist.

Josh Sagan had three defensive takeaways.

Finally, Corbin Guggenheim had 10 wins out of 15 total faceoffs.

Next up: against Wilmington High School on Monday, JV at 5:30, Varsity at 7:30. The game will NOT be played at the high school, but rather at at WILMINGTON COLLEGE. The address for the college is 1870 Quaker Way Wilmington Ohio 45177. The field is to the back behind the school and behind the YMCA.
