The Wyoming Cowboys Boys' Lacrosse team defeated Miami Valley Rams in Dayton last night 16-4.
The defense, led by senior goalie Michael Sagan, shut down the Rams, allowing only one goal in the first half.
Corbin Guggenheim and Cameron Cramer won 20 of the 24 faceoffs which allowed the Cowboys to control the ball all night.
Andrew Tamanko led the team with an incredible 11 ground balls.
Scoring leaders were Austin Hughes, 5 goals and 4 assists, Travis Courtney, 4 goals, David Zanoni, 3 goals and 3 assists, and Tyler Cornelius, 2 goals and 1 assist with only playing in the first half.
Next up: home opener Friday night against CHCA. JV at 5:00 and Varsity at 7:00.
