Boys basketball downs Mariemont

The boys basketball team won at Mariemont by a score of 45-43 last night, despite shooting just 28% from the field.  The win improves the Cowboys to 8-5 overall and 6-3 in the league.  That puts them in a 2 way tie for 3rd with Reading, behind Indian Hill (9-0) and Madeira (7-2).

The Cowboys took a 30-22 lead into the fourth quarter and hung on as Mariemont scored 21 in fourth, nearly half of their total points.

Eric Price led the way last night with a symmetrical 12 points, 6 blocks and 12 rebounds.  Tony Davis contributed 10 rebounds and seven points, and Jacob Allsop had a very strong all around game with 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and eight points.

Next up: at CHL 2nd place Madeira, Freshmen at 4:30, JV at 6 and Varsity at 7:30.  The Varsity will be trying to avenge a 45-42 loss at Wyoming in the third game of the season.

  1. This game proved what a great player Eric Price is!!!! He wasn't passing the ball to other players so they could get points, he ended up making the points himself.I hope we see him shine like this at the Madeira game!!!
