The Wyoming HS Girl's Lacrosse team hosted their second home game against Lakota West HS Wednesday night. The Varsity played the early game and again put on a shooting exhibition and outlasted West for a second victory, final score Wyoming 8, Lakota West 5. Goalie Claire Mellott had another impressive performance recording 5 saves behind the defense of Grace Steiner, Emma Komrska, Carly Schlager, and Emily Wood. Scoring was lead by Marielle Smith and Maggie Hughes with 3 goals each and additional goals were provided by Reilly Simmons (1) and Haley Stewart (1).
In the second game, the JV team, lead by Goalie Avery Barzizza with 8 saves, played a hard fought game but lost, final score Wyoming 4, Lakota West 8. Goals were scored by Elizabeth Hughes (1), Libby Fischer (1), Caroline Abel (1) and Chelsea Davis (1) with an assist by Ashley Moher.
Next up, Bishop Fenwick, at home on Thursday March 26. Varsity game time is 6:30, JV has the night off.
