Show No Mercy

The Wyoming HS Girls Lacrosse team traveled to Western Hills HS to play Mother of Mercy HS on a cold, windy, and snowy Tuesday evening.  The JV came out on top recording their first victory, 7-2.  Goalie Claire Mellott lead a solid defensive effort by the team.  Goals were scored by Elizabeth Hughes (2), Erin Broderick (1),  Annie Boster (1), Avery Barzizza (1), Libby Fischer (1), and Madelyn Taylor (1).

The Varsity played impressively and won 13-2.  The defensive quad of Carly Schlager, Emily Wood, Grace Crawford, and Grace Schneider, along with a strong performance by the midfield, allowed only 7 shots on goal with Goalie Emily Wadds grabbing 5 saves.  Offensively, goals were scored by Claire Crawford (5), Olivia Cunningham (2), Maggie Hughes (2), Haley Stewart (2), Becky Denson (1), and Marielle Smith (1) with assists by Marta Stewart (1), Marielle Smith (1), and Claire Crawford (1).  Draw Controls were lead by Marta Stewart (3) and Olivia Cunningham (3) with loose ball control lead in the field by Emma Komrska (5).

The team takes a break but will back for action at Home on Tuesday, April 8 at 6:00 pm (JV) and 7:15 pm (V) against Lebanon HS and again Home on Wednesday, April 9 at 6:00 pm (JV) and 7:15 pm (V) against CHL rival Mariemont.
