Boys Varsity Golf Comes Out Strong in Sectionals

Earlier today, the WHS Boys Varsity Golf Team continued their stellar play by capturing the Southern Ohio Division II Sectional Championship @ Sharon Woods. The Cowboys posted a team total of 327, which was good for a 5 shot victory over 2^nd place Madeira. Junior Henry Moore led the way with a round of 78, followed by Sophomore Stephen Cholvat who posted an 80. Junior Chris Betagole (84) and Freshman Sam Marty (85) also posted for the Cowboys. The ability to hit the “long ball” helped carry the Cowboys to victory today as the weather (off and on rain) and already wet ground on the golf course combined to make for very challenging conditions. Check out the Cowboys as they flex their muscles in a post tournament celebration --- HUZZAH!!
