Emily Stites finished sixth in the state at the Ohio High School Athletic Association Division II Cross Country Championships held yesterday at National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio.

In Division II, Wyoming senior Emily Stites finished sixth (18:31.91) and Indian Hill senior Elizabeth Heinbach was seventh (18:32.41) behind champion Sarra Taylor of London (18:19.14). Also finishing among the top 25 was Indian Hill sophomore Elena Horton (19th, 19:15.34).
“I was hoping to finish in the top five, but at the end of the day it was my last race and I’m happy to accomplish the things that I did,” Stites said. “I couldn’t be happier with the way I ran overall.”
