CHL boys' basketball preview

From today's Enquirer:
Wyoming

Coach: Tony Gentry (167-98)

Last year: 12-9 (7-7)

What's new: Senior AJ Tribble joins the team.

Key Players: Senior guard Adam Crider, sophomore guard Ahmad Frost, junior guard Ben Kurtz, senior forward Rich Irwin

Outlook: Frost and Kurtz are the only returning starters, and are two of only three Cowboys with varsity experience.

"We have three players with varsity experience and a senior newcomer, so we are extremely young with five varsity sophomores," Gentry said.

Kurtz scored 4.0 points and grabbed 2.5 rebounds per game last season. Frost added 3.6 points. Crider scored 6.4 points off the bench.

Senior guard Chris Campbell, who averaged 10 points and 3.9 assists per game, will be out until late in the season after tearing an anterior cruciate ligament playing football, but will be a team captain.
