Another Pair of Scrimmage Wins

Jen Hays always brings the good news.  Today is no exception.

The Wyoming Men's Varsity Soccer team had two scrimmages this week.   On Tuesday they played a pretty tough, definitely physical, game against Bellbrook High School.  Although Bellbrook gave the Cowboys a run for their money, the fellas pulled it out with a goal by Andrew Derge for a win of 1-0.

On Thursday they played at home against Badin High School.  What the Cowboys thought would be a challenging game, turned out to be a piece of cake for the guys.  (At least it seemed that way from the stands.  They may not agree.)  They played hard and they played well.  Badin lead off the first half with a goal.  Wyoming answered right back to finish off the half with goals by Miles Rajbhandari and Andy Renggli.  Ironically Badin started off the second half by scoring first as well.  This time the Cowboys answered back louder, with goals by Toby Varland, Ben Derge and two goals by Jay Klein.  Keepers Ethan Wayman and Marshall Hays kept Badin to only one goal a half.  Final was Wyoming 6 - Badin -2.

Way to go guys!

The Men's Soccer season opener is Saturday at Home against Walnut Hills.  JV plays at 5:00pm.  Varsity plays at 7:00pm.  What else do you have to do on a Saturday night??? Come on out and root on the guys!

RU:   Now I know you're all dyed-in-the-wool, true-blue super-fans and are ready to support a Cowboy team in the blink of a eye.  But let's say hypothetically that you had this hypothetical friend who was hypothetically a less-than-rabid fan.  Someone who hypothetically needed some convincing that coming out to watch the games would prove to be an exciting and worthwhile proposition.  Then hypothetically you should show this hypothetical friend the following very real Scott Springer and Dave Motz Cincinnati.com article about the teams prospects for the season.

Have your hypothetical friend read the article by clicking HERE

Thanks to Jen Hays for the great report and
Thanks to Rod Apfelbeck for the link to the Cincinnati.com article.
