Booster President Tom Horn read letters written by the boys to their parents and from the parents to their sons. Matt McCoy sang the National Anthem to an appreciative crowd (see JGFC below).
All of this must have fired the team up because they then went on to drub Deer Park 22-2 in five innings.
Freshman Will Marty picked up his first varsity victory.
There was offense aplenty: Chris Campbell went 3-4, Max "Dish" Kadish went 3-5 with a triple and 5 RBI's, Nick Burns went 2-4 with a double, home run, and six RBI's, Robert Gomez when 3-4 with a double and Colin Fogel went 3-3 with a double and 4 RBI's.
