Boys basketball defeats Mariemont

The boys basketball team, tied at 29 at the end of the first half against Mariemont, posted a 24-12 third quarter that carried them to a 68-56 victory.  (Or possibly 66-56.  The quarters in the paper are 10, 19, 24, 13.  Doesn't that add up to 56?  Although the individual players scores add up to 58-oh well, I'm pretty sure we won.)  Mariemont had been 3-0 heading into the game.  The win brings the boys record even at 1-1.

Leading the way offensively for the Cowboys was Tony Davis with 23 points.  Also chipping in double figures were Kyle Seyfried with 13, and Jacob Allsop, Jonathan Tighe and Chris Campbell scoring 10 each.

Next up: Saturday at home vs. Madeira (freshmen at 4:30, JV at 6, Varsity at 7:30)
