The Ohio High School Athletic Association has announced that Shaker Heights Hathaway Brown must forfeit its girls Division II state soccer championship it won earlier this year. Apparently a player transferred out of the district and then back in, but the proper paperwork was never filled out, making her ineligible. Thus the OHSAA has awarded Bexely the championship.
Bexley eliminated the Wyoming girls team on penalty kicks after the game remained tied at 2 after regulation and two overtime periods.
