Takedowns at Taylor

The wrestling team finished 4th at the league tournament on Saturday (2 points behind 3rd place Madeira). Unfortunatley the matmen were without starters Justin Shields and Asa Palmer. Many would be happy to know that Indian Hill finished in 7th (last place due to Finneytown not fielding a team). Ike Palmer (195) won in overtime in his championship match to earn his second consecutive league championship.  Zach VanFossen had some of his own highlights by pinning his opponent from Taylor in 29 seconds and his opponent from Indian Hill in 11 seconds. VanFossen finished 4th in the tournament at 120 pounds. Other placers for the Cowboys were:

126 Pitman 4th
132 Casada 3rd
145 Oliver 3rd
152 Brunke 3rd
170 Kremzar 3rd
220 Padnos 4th
285 Bell 4th

The matmen will have 2 weeks to prepare for the Southwest Ohio Division II Sectional Tournament hosted by Western Brown High School. The top 4 placers will advance to the District tournament in Wilmington.

With VanFossen having 2 very quick pins this weekend...here are the top 10 quickest pins of the season:
