Records, like smartphone screens, are made to be broken by kids from Wyoming. Emily Stites ('12) broke the course record at the Southeast Regional Cross Country Championships on Friday, November 15th, in Charlottesville, Virginia. In her first college win, she posted a crazy-fast sub 20 in the 6k race. Her William & Mary Tribe team finished 2nd in the race. They advance to the NCAA DI Championships in Terra Haute, Indiana on November 23rd. That's like a three hour car ride (or maybe a two hour drive for oldest daughter). Wouldn't it be something to have the course lined with Cowboy Blue for our own Emily?
Coach Knickel sent us some links to the results from the Regional race and the upcoming Championship event.
