The Southwest Ohio Football Coaches Association (SWOFCA) web site states that, "The National Football Foundation-College Football Hall Of Fame/SWOFCA 'That's My Boy' Award is the most prestigious award for which a student-athlete in the Tri-State can be nominated."
The award is based on achievement in Football (up to 40 points), Academics (up to 40 points) and Activities (up to 20 points). Factors considered for each:
Football - All-State, SWOFCA All-City, All-League, All-District, Varsity Letters in Football, Team Captain
Academics - College Board (ACT/SAT) scores, Class Rank, GPA, National Merit Scholar, National Honor Society
Activities - Class Officer, Student Council, Non-Football Varsity Sports letters, Organizations and Activities
Wyoming has been well represented in the past - Harry Meisner (WHS '10) and Jeff King (WHS '07) have been recent finalists. Cowboys who won the award include 2010 WHS Hall of Fame Inductee Ahmed Plummer in 1995 and Assistant Varsity Football Coach Tom Berger in 1976.
The winner will be named March 3rd.
