Wyoming’s varsity ran its record to 4-1 in the A division of the Cincinnati high school league with a tough 11-9 victory over Moeller/Mt. Notre Dame Sunday at Moeller. Fresh off their appearance in the first-ever league All Star game Friday night, seniors Joe White and Jaden Shapiro again led the Jackrabbits to victory; Jaden had five scoring throws, while Joe, who played all 20 points on a hot day, had two scoring throws, six goal catches, and five defenses.
The JV Jackrabbits dropped an 8-11 decision to the Moeller/MND team in the C league, falling to 2-3 on the season. Junior Nick Nance had two scoring throws and two goal catches, as well as six D’s, 8th grader Aidan Stevens had four scoring throws, and sophomore Maddie Basil had two goal catches and a scoring throw.
The varsity and JV teams will travel to Lebanon this coming Sunday, before returning to play at the Wyoming Rec Center on May 8.
