Record Breaking CHL Swimming and Diving

The CHL swimming and diving meets were this weekend.  The dive team competed Friday night (February 5th) at Mariemont High School.  In the boys competition, Charlie Donnelly broke his own record for total points scored during a 6 dive meet.  He earned 283.90 points (previous record was 281.70) on his way to second place.  Freshman Illusha Gerasimchuk received 4th place with 182.30 points.  In the girls competition, the three freshman divers received 6th, 7th, and 8th place (Adrienne Storer, 6th place (175.50 points), Katy Vanatsky, 7th place (172.00 points), Sami Weis, 8th place (168.88 points).
The swimmers competed on Saturday (February 6th) at PCY.  Varsity event winners included Carson Burt (200 Free, 500 Free), Christopher Rutter (200 IM, 100 Breast), and the Boys 400 Free Relay (Philip Brocker, Connor Williams, Christopher Rutter, and Carson Burt).  Carson Burt's winning time in the 500 Free also set a new meet record set previously by Jonathan Rutter in 2014.
After adding in the scores from the Dive portion, the Boys came in 1st place with 357 points over 2nd place Mariemont's 302.5.  The Girls came in 3rd place with 257 points behind Mariemont's 393 and Indian Hill's 294.

Coach David Elliot was named as the CHL Boys Swim Coach of the Year.
