Preseason football notes

Preseason football notes from Mike Dyer here.

  • Wyoming senior Max Kadish, a standout baseball player, will be a cornerback/slot/running back for the Cowboys this season.

  • Wyoming senior free safety/wide receiver Chris Campbell (6-1, 175) will be a second-year starter.

  • Wyoming senior left tackle Terrry Davis (6-4, 305), a three-year starter, is considering (in no particular order) UC, Indiana, Illinois, North Carolina State and Louisville. Davis said he plans to visit Louisville July 26 and also wants to visit N.C. State.

  • Kadish said Wyoming lost a significant amount of seniors and a “lot of people are doubting” the Cowboys, but he said this year’s group is determined to prove itself.

  • Davis said the team is looking forward to playing in the first game in Southwest Ohio when Wyoming plays Walnut Hills Aug. 24 at Colerain at 7 p.m.
