Middle School Swim & Dive team update from Coach Dave

The Wyoming Middle School Swim & Dive team is off to a great start with three wins ( vs. Norwood, Mason and Cincinnati Country Day).

The highlight of these three meets was the 144 – 139 win at Mason on December 5. As you would expect, the Mason team is about twice as big as Wyoming. But our squad came from behind to outscore Mason in the second half of the meet, securing the team victory with a win in the meets final event - the 200 Free Relay.

The CCD meet followed on December 8 with a very strong 203 – 50 showing by the Cowfish.

Next up on the schedule: Kings Middle School December 17 3:30PM at the PCY.

Middle School Swimming & Diving is one team comprised of 7th and 8th grade boys and girls. This year’s team is a nice mix of year-round club swimmers (Marlins and PCY), summer club swimmers (Sea Dragons and Swordfish), as well as some first time swimmers.

Note to all current 6th & 7th graders who may be interested in swimming on the Middle School team next year: No experience necessary! Try one of the summer teams in 2012 (Sea Dragons or Swordfish) and if you like it, come out for your school team next year.
