Four area students were among 54 state-wide recipients Friday night at the 20th annual Ohio High School Athletic Association Scholar-Athlete Scholarship Banquet in Columbus.
Aaron Abbott of Lebanon, Elizabeth Heinbach of Indian Hill, Michelle Jolson of Wyoming and Mackenzie Shelley of Mariemont received awards based on a combination of grade-point averages, ACT or SAT scores, varsity letters earned, athletic achievements and a written essay. Jolson's GPA was 3.95 and she earned 13 varsity letters in soccer, basketball, track & field and swimming. She is going to Brown University.
