And The Clouds Parted...Momentarily

I'm no theologian, and I can't say with any certainty that God is a Cowboy's fan, but sometimes it's hard not to see the signs.
A Cowboy Burger from the Flame-Broiled Boys and a 33-0 W over North College Hill was a great way to start the season on Friday, August 29th.
Thanks to Rod Apfelbeck for the great pictures.

Top of the Heap

Jen Hays always has the best news for us.

Wyoming Men's Cowboys played their first CHL conf game last night against Madeira.  The guys looked strong.  Final score was Wyoming 3 - Madeira 0.  Goals were scored by Andrew Derge, Jay Klein and Andew Renggli.  We also welcomed back previously injured Senior, Sam Izenson to the field last night.  It's great to have you back Sam!

Next game for the Cowboys is Saturday, August 30 against Seven Hills at Home.  Come on out and watch a great game of soccer!

Go Cowboys!

Home Court Advantage

The Varsity Volleyball team defeated Madeira here at home on Tuesday, August 26th.  From Arch Cunningham's pictures it looks like it was an exciting game.  I'm sure you'll fill us all in on the highlights when you send in your first report.  No rush.  (Yes, patience is one of my greatest assets as a renowned lazy person.)
Thanks to Arch Cunningham for the great pictures.

It's a Shut-Out

Kara Pendery reports for the Girls Varsity Soccer team and their Monday, August 25th game at Princeton.

Wyoming Goalie Olivia Munneke was a bit busy in the beginning of the game. We were challenged early in the game.  Our defense continued to play strong and along with Olivia, the Cowboys kept the Vikings scoreless.  The Vikings' defense committed a foul just outside their box, granting the Cowboys' a scoring opportunity with 8 minutes remaining in the first half.  The foul and subsequent kick occurred in the same spot as in the Little Miami game last Saturday.  That kick allowed Little Miami to tie up the game.  It was like Deja Vu...all over again.  :)  This time, we were the ones taking the kick. Kayla Hampton was set to take the kick.  Instead of going to goal, she made a beautiful cross to Chelsea Davis who popped the ball up and into the net.  Princeton didn't see it coming.  It was a well executed play.  We went into the half up 1 - 0.  Our second goal came from Kayla Hampton. Kayla dribbled the ball around the defenders and popped it in for the score.  Jasmine Evans gave us our final goal of the game.  The score came from a long power shot, around the 25 yard line, straight down the middle of the field.  The ball flew just under the crossbar and down the back of the net. The goalie had no chance....it was beautiful!  Wyoming Varsity beat Princeton 3 - 0.  JV lost to Princeton 0 - 3.
Competition can bring us together... in many ways.
Thanks to Kara Pendery for the report, and some of the above pictures.
